A cold or sinus condition dehydrates your body and forces your immune system to work overtime to fight off infection. This can cause body aches, a common symptom of a cold or sinus condition. Fortunately, there are measures you can take to combat aches and pains.
Sleep It Off
Get plenty of rest. Your body heals faster when it has time to slow down. To get a good night's sleep, lay on your side with a pillow between your legs. This is the sleeping position most doctors recommend. A good night's rest will help your body fight off the infection faster.
Wash Your Hands
The best way to avoid colds (and the aches and pains that accompany them) is to minimize your exposure to germs. Keeping your hands clean can be a big help. Be sure to wash them often, especially before meals. Also, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
