A Bite of Relief
Biting on a cotton ball that has been soaked in oil of cloves (eugenol) may help relieve a toothache. Oil of cloves is available at most drug stores and health food stores. You might also consider avoiding foods that are extremely hot or cold, as they may bring more pain to an already sensitive area. |

Ask Your Dentist
Help prevent toothaches by brushing and flossing at least twice a day. Also, be sure to schedule yearly appointments with your dentist. Your dentist will use x-rays to help detect cavities and tooth decay. And while you're there, you may want to ask if there are any new home dental treatments that might be right for you. |
