One of the key ingredients in Children's MOTRIN® Cold is a decongestant known as pseudoephedrine. When used as directed, pseudoephedrine is safe and effective in treating nasal and sinus congestion. However, it is possible for pseudoephedrine to be misused for non-medical purposes. In an effort to help prevent misuse while still making pseudoephedrine containing products available to legitimate consumers, these products are now only available behind the pharmacy or retail counter.
