What is the active ingredient in
Infants' MOTRIN®? The active ingredient in Infants' MOTRIN® is ibuprofen. What is ibuprofen? Ibuprofen is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)over-the-counter. NSAIDs are effective in relieving pain and reducing fever. What can Infants' MOTRIN® be used for? Infants' MOTRIN® is indicated for the temporary reduction of fever, and relief of minor aches and pains due to colds, flu, headaches and toothaches. Back to top How much should I give my child? As with any over-the-counter medication, always read and follow the label carefully. Shake well before using. Find the right dose on the dosing chart that appears on the label. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise use age. Use only the enclosed measuring device. All dosages may be repeated every 6-8 hours, but not more than 4 times daily. A health care professional should be consulted for dosing for children under the age of 6 months. Where can I find Infants' MOTRIN® products?
