Stomach bleeding warning: This product contains an NSAID, which may cause severe stomach bleeding. The chance is higher if your child:

How long has Children's MOTRIN® Suspension been available?
Children's MOTRIN® Suspension first became available as a prescription product in 1989. In 1995, Children's MOTRIN® was cleared for marketing as an over-the-counter product. What is the active ingredient in Children's MOTRIN®? The active ingredient in Children's MOTRIN® is ibuprofen. Back to top What is ibuprofen? Ibuprofen is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)over-the-counter. NSAIDs are effective in relieving pain and reducing fever. What can Children's MOTRIN® be used for? Children's MOTRIN® is indicated for the temporary reduction of high fevers, and relief of minor aches and pains due to colds, flu, sore throat, headaches and toothaches. How much should I give my child? As with any over-the-counter medication, always read and follow the label carefully. Shake well before using. Find the right dose on the dosing chart that appears on the label. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise use age. Use only the enclosed measuring cup. All dosages may be repeated every 6-8 hours, but not more than 4 times daily. Where can I find Children's MOTRIN® products?
